New Technique in High Jump
- This is a page about the High Jump
- And about my High Jump dream
- Always when I see gymnasts doing their "free exercise", making rotating energy during doing salto's and flic-flac's.
- I ask my self: how high do they jump?
- Is it time for a new technique doing the high jump in Athletics?
- Since Dick Fosbury introduced his "Fosbury Flop"?
- Is it time for the "Kuiper Flop"?
- Years ago (1989) I wrote my dream about the rotating energy in a Dutch Newspaper.
- I got some reactions
- So, I know that it is not allowed to start the jump with both feet at the same time!
- Why I do not know.
- But is it possible to jump with both feet at the same time? There is always a split second difference!
- Who has the same fantasy?
- Is it possible to create a computer model to design this new jump?
- Did someone ever measure the jumping height of a jumping gymnast?
- For example by jumping over a laser beam?
- For example by measuring the time between lift off and landing?
- Or by making an estimate by counting the number of pictures of video recording in slow motion?
- If you know the time in the air one can calculate the average height of the jump.
- I am a retired Civil Engineer and I enjoy Art & Computer.
